The Meaning of Our Name

The name TRIPOD carries three distinct meanings.

Like a tripod, we support equipment reliability through dependable technology. This is one meaning of our name.

“TRI” refers to three-phase AC power. Our core technology, Electrical Signature Analysis (ESA), assesses equipment condition through three-phase current and voltage.

Keiichiro Nagaiwa

President & CEO

Keiichiro Nagaiwa has many years of experience in researching and developing diagnostic methods for industrial equipment and power plants. He developed proprietary methods using Electrical Signature Analysis (ESA) and obtained related patents. His work also combines vibration analysis and lubricant analysis, while exchanges with overseas engineers have supported his study of both established diagnostic theory and newer technologies. Drawing on this experience, he founded TRIPOD Corporation in October 2024 to promote equipment diagnostics.

Business Activities

Electrical Signature Analysis (ESA)

By analyzing current and voltage signals captured directly from the control panel during operation, we evaluate early warning signs of anomalies in motors, generators, gearboxes, and bearings. As the official authorized distributor of Framatome's EMPATH™ (ECMS) and MotorDoc's EMPOWER™ (MCSA) in Japan, we support system implementation across Japan and Thailand.

Vibration Analysis & Tribology Diagnostics

On-site diagnostics are performed by ISO-certified machinery condition monitoring practitioners. We use vibration analysis to assess movement and structural condition, and lubricant analysis to assess wear and degradation. We evaluate equipment condition using these findings alongside ESA results.

Research & Academic Collaboration

We conduct applied and academic research into ESA and machinery condition monitoring. We work with industry and academia on technology development, publications and knowledge sharing.

We provide distributors and partner companies with technical support, training and outsourced analysis.
